Colin Badcock general manager DoubleTree by Hilton Cadbury House
Having been appointed as general manager only last year it seems the law has finally caught up with Colin Badcock, general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House in Congresbury.
For many, the pending time behind bars might be regarded as justified comeuppance for the hotelier, whose collection of kitsch ties has obviously proved too much for the local constabulary.
Colin's date at her majesty's pleasure however is all for a very worthy cause as he'll be raising money for Weston Hospicecare as part of its Boss-in-a-Box fundraising initiative.
He will be arrested on 23 February, taken away and detained in a cell at 'HMP Weston Grand Pier'. Once there Colin will have limited access to his mobile and laptop where he will be able to make calls to raise his bail of £400 within a two-hour time limit.
Commenting on his forthcoming time behind bars Colin said: "I can't believe it – I always thought my ties were leading edge! I'm not too worried though, as justice will always out in the end. I just hope the end isn't too long in coming on the day!
"Seriously though it's a great and fun way to raise money for this fantastic charity and hopefully my time inside will help make a difference to the lives of local people.
"Weston Hospicecare is a fantastic local hospice which not only provides the basics but goes the extra mile providing the local touch which helps those with life-limiting illnesses and their families."
