A team of Santas made an early visit to Bristol Airport to spread the word on the Children's Hospice South West Christmas run.

Santas On The Run is on Sunday, December 2, in Bristol.

This is part of a nationwide series of Santa runs for children's hospices across the country.

The CHSW which has three West Country hospices including the North Somerset one at Charlton Farm, Wraxall  invites local people to don their Santa suits and join in.

The want charity runnings to get in the festive spirit all for a good claus by running, walking or jogging 2k.

The whole family from babies in buggies to dogs are welcome to take part.

The city centre event starts at the Lloyds Amphitheatre, before taking participants round the harbourside, then through Millennium Square, over Pero's Bridge, round the Waterfront twice and back to the Amphitheatre.

This year the run is being sponsored by financial protection insurers Unum.

CHSW events fundraisier Jen Waldron said: "A riot of red suits and white beards really brings Christmas cheer to the streets, so if you fancy joining an event with a festive difference then sign up today.

"The care we offer at our special hospices is for the whole family, not just the poorly child.

"We would love families to enter this fun run together, for a great afternoon of festive fun whilst raising vital funds for the families we care for."

Entry is £10 per adult, £5 for under 16s and under 3s go free.

Entry includes a Santa suit, medal, mince pie and hot drink.
