Good Pub Guide 2013 for Clevedon

The Good Pub Guide awards for 2013 have been announced with a Churchill pub getting the top accolade.

But throughout North Somerset it is the village establishments rather than the towns which host the best beers and fine wines.

You would have to travel to Cambridgeshire to the Cock, Hemingford Grey, to enjoy a pint at its pub of the year but here is a list of those closer to home.

Winner of the unspoiled pub of the year title goes to the Crown, at Churchill. This unspoiled and unchanging small Somerset cottage is credited with friendly customers and staff, super range of real ales, and homely lunchtime food.
