The Hawthorns held a special Burns night Supper on Saturday 25th January 2014 for residents and guests, in celebration of the life of Scottish poet Robert Burns. The celebrations started with chef Kerry Hector parading the Haggis with Sandy Kemlow from Clevedon playing the bagpipes, to the stage where as tradition dictates, the 'Ode to the Haggis,' written by Burns, was given.

In true Scottish style Residents and guests of The Hawthorns, raised a toast with a wee dram of Whisky before they settle down to supper and an evening of Scottish themed entertainment.

Goldie Tripney, the Hawthorns Facility Manager said:

"The Burns Night Supper was a great way for our residents and guests to taste some classic Scottish food from our Executive Chef and have a good time with friends."
