King of the Wurzels on top of the charts again

King of the Wurzels, Adge Cutler is a best seller in North Somerset almost forty years after his untimely death in a car crash near Severn Bridge.

The first ever biography of the West Country legend  has trumped established favourites to become the best-selling local book in the shops this Christmas.

Local journalist and author John Hudson will be signing copies of the best-seller – published by new Community Interest Company Bristol Books – at Waterstones in the Galleries on Saturday January 26 from 12.30-2pm.

Adge: King of the Wurzels found its way into more Christmas stockings than hardy annuals including the Dictionary of Bristle, Banksy's Bristol and the Naked Guide to Cider.

The book reveals how some of Adge's most famous songs came about, details his jobs, his home and early career in Nailsea to working as a roadie for Acker Bilk, and examines the events of the weekend he died on his return from a late-night gig in Hereford.
