SPEEDWAY - CHRISTMAS CRACKER POSTPONED AGAIN AS SNOW THREATENS

The 'Cases' Somerset Rebels have been forced to cancel their Salt Express Sponsored Christmas Cracker Meeting for a second time, the poor weather forecast for Friday (18th) leaving the Somerset promotion little option but to make the early decision to call the meeting off.

Threat of Snow halts Cristmas Cracker until Feb 8th
"The weather forecast is predicting that we will encounter heavy snowfalls on Friday," said Rebels promoter Debbie Hancock, "and with that in mind we felt that it was best for all concerned, especially the riders and the fans, if we made the early decision to call off the meeting as it will save people any unnecessary travel arrangements."
"It does seem like the weather is conspiring against us as far as the meeting is concerned, the original attempt to stage it just after Christmas being postponed due to heavy rain and now it's snow that is the problem, but we will give it one more try, the meeting having now been re-arranged for Friday 8th February, with tapes up on heat 1 being at 7.30pm, so let's hope it is a case of 3rd time lucky!"
