Turn the lights off for world Earth Hour

CLEVEDON'S Transition Town group is encouraging people to take part in a special Earth Hour event.

The event is on March 23 from 8.30pm-9.30pm when people across the world will be turning their lights off for an hour.

Transition Clevedon is encouraging people to use as little energy as possible during these times.

There will also be a candlelit supper at St Mary's Church  from 7.30pm onwards to mark the occasion.

This is a chance to get together, bringing food and drink to share.

Earth Hour is organised by the World Wildlife Fund to underline the need to change from the use of fossil fuels to clean renewable energy.
