Food Standard Agency inspectors awarded The White Lion in Portishead High Street with a "very good" five star rating and commended the venue after a visit in January.
Each business is given a 'hygiene rating' of between zero and five after being inspected by a Food Safety Officer from the local authority.
The rating shows how closely the business is meeting the requirements of food hygiene law, with a 5 rating given only to venues with 'very good' hygiene standards.
James Brown, Mezze Director, said: "We are delighted with this new five star rating, which shows we are among the best rated restaurants in the region.
"It will be our goal to carry these standards through to our two new Mezze summer openings in Clevedon and Tetbury.
"We have only been operating in Portishead for six months and therefore we are immensely proud to gain the top award which matches our fast growing reputation."
Jane Day, Principal Officer Public Health, said in the report: "You should commend your staff on their efforts and encourage them to maintain these standards. "
