ONE of the most popular Adventure Parks in the South West is to kick off the New Year with a lambing weekend for youngsters.
Puxton Park near Weston-super-Mare is to hold its first lambing weekend of 2014 as part of its educational experiences.
The family-run family attraction stages regular educational days with its farmers and falconer to aid the learning of children across the South West.
For the past few years the park has been overwhelmed with the sheer volume of lambs born at the park and it is looking forward to another bumper year.
Children can attend the first lambing weekend of the year on January 25 and 26, where they can get up close and personal by bottle feeding the lambs at selected times.
Puxton's animal carers will also provide informative talks about how the park cares for its lambs on a day to day basis.
Puxton's Alistair Mead said: "We have seen the numbers of lambs increase year on year with record levels achieved at Puxton Park and we expect this to continue in 2014.
"We are proud to offer a range of educational experiences at Puxton such as these lambing weekends, which allow youngsters to get up close to the animals.
"This will be our first lambing weekend of 2014 and we are sure youngsters will want to come and learn all about them."
