Highly acclaimed glamorous jazz singer and songwriter Clare Teal returns to the UK live arena with The Feeling Good Tour.
Well known as the presenter of BBC Radio's weekly shows Big Band Special and Sunday Night at 10, as well a regular presenter of Friday Night is Music Night, Clare Teal and her trio bring you a fabulous evening of music and repartee.
The award winning jazz singer, pianist and broadcaster is taking the show across the country and will visit the Playhouse Theatre this month.
Last year saw the award winning songstress celebrate her most successful year professionally and it's easy to see why when the likes of The Observer described this troubadour as 'bright and adventurous'.
Clare won the British Jazz Singer of the Year in 2005 and 2007 and last year she supported Liza Minnelli at London's Kenwood House, John Wilson at the BBC Proms from the Royal Albert Hall, not to mention numerous festival and sell-out concert appearances.
"Wonderful. Worth raving about." Sir Michael Parkinson
Yorkshire born Clare Teal is one of the most successful female British jazz singers in decades with a string of albums behind her, including the UK National Top 20 hit "Don't Talk".
Teal's break came when she was asked to stand in for Stacey Kent at a weekend festival in Llandrindod Wells.
Her popularity soared with appearances on radio and television bringing her to the attention of a wider public and she was signed by Sony in what was the biggest recording deal by any British jazz singer.
Clare's first album 'Don't Talk', an exquisite record of tender jazz perfectly exemplified just what a talent she was and topped the British jazz charts and cracked the UK Top 20, shipping 60,000 copies and winning several awards.
Clare made a welcome return in 2011 with her tenth album 'Hey Ho' her critically acclaimed celebration of The Great British Songbook, spanning a period of 122 years.
It has been the busiest year yet for Clare, with UK dates galore, festival appearances, return visits to many favourites as well as new venues and of course a Christmas tour - and a healthy smattering of other surprises in between.
Clare Teal will be at the Playhouse, Weston-super-Mare, on Friday 30 November at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced at £18, £16, are available on 01934 645 544 or online at http://tinyurl.com/ckzqxvr
