Audiences get ready to witness the world's definitive Eagles tribute show, Talon, performing at The Playhouse Theatre this autumn.
Talon- The Best of Eagles, are heading off on their 15th anniversary tour and will stop off in Weston-super-Mare this November.
The show promises to be their biggest and best ever tour, headlining 50 top theatres nationwide in the four corners of the UK and Ireland.
Since forming in 1997, founders Chris Lloyd, lead vocals/acoustic guitars and Peter Anderson, lead vocals/guitars, have worked hard to put together not just one of the best touring tribute acts in the business, but a solid band in their own right.
Their success was almost short-lived when disaster struck on April fool's day 1999 and thieves stole all of the equipment from their van, which nearly ended Talon for good.
But thanks to a goodwill gesture of an anonymous couple, who came to the rescue after hearing of the band's situation on the radio, Talon got back on track.
Vocally, the Talon singers each take on the role of a specific Eagles voice: Chris Lloyd is Don Henley while Peter Anderson takes the Glenn Frey leads and his bass-baritone backing vocals bring warmth and depth to the harmonies.
Tony Vegas covers the Joe Walsh sung material and Jonny Miller's soft-vocal deliveries are a perfect fit for the ballads associated with Timothy B Schmit.
This new anniversary show features all the classic Eagles hits from their timeless back catalogue including Hotel California, Lyin' Eyes, Take It Easy, Desperado, Take It To The Limit, Life In The Fast Lane, The Last Resort and many more plus Don Henley solo hits Boys Of Summer and Dirty Laundry and One Day At A Time and Funk #49 by Joe Walsh.
Although the show now features seven world class musicians, it is the immensely powerful vocal harmony and exact musical production on which Talon have built their reputation.
Jack Tempchin, Eagles Hit Songwriter, said: "Talon perform the songs of the Eagles with reverence and super talent. They are all absolutely first rate musicians, as good as any I have come across, as well as being wonderful people. It was a great pleasure for me to meet them and work with them, and I am hoping to come back to England and do more shows with my new friends."
Talon will be at the Playhouse, Weston-super-Mare, on Wednesday 7 November, at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced at £17.50, £15.50 are available on 01934 645 544 or online at http://tinyurl.com/677l7bh
