Top films showing at The Curzon, Clevedon

The epic Les Miserables (12A) ends it current run at The Curzon, Clevedon, on Thursday evening, February 14.

This film adaptation of the blockbuster musical directed by Tom Hooper has been nominated for multiple Oscars and BAFTAs, including best picture, best actor (Hugh Jackman), and best supporting actress (Anne Hathaway).

It also stars Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried.

Parental Guidance (U) is being screened on Monday, February 18, at 2pm.

Directed by Andy Fickman and starring Billy Crystal, Bette Midler and Marisa Tomei this American comedy runs for 104 minutes.

 It tells the story of Artie and Diane Decker are called in by their daughter to help care for their three grandkids. 

When their old-school parenting methods collide with their daughter's new-school ways, the once-orderly household spins out of control.

In the evening the Kathryn Bigelow film Zero Dark Thirty (15) is being shown.

Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal for the story of history's greatest manhunt.

Starring Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton and Kyle Chandler this is the story of  an elite team of intelligence and military operatives who for a decade have devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. 

From the director of The Hurt Locker, this is the story of the hunt for the world's most dangerous.

This film runs all week until Thursday, February 21, with a matinee on Thursday, February 21.

The Sunday night film club is showing Rust And Bone (15) on February 17 at 7.45pm.

The 2012 French-Belgian film based on Craig Davidson's short story collection with the same name is directed by Jacques Audiard and stars Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenaerts,.

Ali comes to the aid of Stephanie during a nightclub brawl.

Opening on Friday, February 22, is the film that got Daniel Day Lewis the best actor award at the BAFTAs.

Lincoln (12A) is directed by Steven Spielberg and also stars Sally Field, David Strathairn and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Nominated for a remarkable 12 Oscars, with Daniel Day-Lewis also tipped to win this best actor award for a third time. 

In a nation divided by war and the winds of change, President Abraham Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery.
