Bighearted people are being urged to don fancy dress for a charity fun run at Clevedon this weekend.
-
Which super hero will you spot running through Clevedon on Saturday?
-
All monies raised is being donated to the Make A Wish charity
-
And next month there will be a Zero To Hero boxing bout
The event is on Saturday, February 23, from The Salthouse public house to Queen's Square shopping precinct and back and the theme is Superheroes.
One Stop Marketing boss Tommy Gibson, 32, of Wordsworth Road, is helping to organise the two mile run in aid of Make A Wish.
Tommy has already decided his costume of choice will be SuperTed the fictional anthropomorphic bear character created by writer Mike Young.
Tommy said: "It will be fun loads with people running or walking from The Salthouse to precinct and back again - imagine the public reaction."
The fundraisers will be carrying collecting buckets when they set off at midday.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.
Since being established in the UK in 1986 it has granted more than 8,300 wishes.
There are 20,000 children and young people living in the UK with a life-threatening condition. and its intention is to grant a wish to every one of them.
This year the charity will be granting more than 1,100 wishes and it needs to raise £7 million to achieve this.
Tommy has signed by for the Zero to Hero boxing challenge in March and is busy taking part in a 10-week training programme.
He is inspired to help others in memory of his sister Marie who died nine years ago just six weeks after giving birth to her son Jacob.
