Conceding 58 points was never quite the plan for Clevedon's opening encounter in the Tribute South West One West. But it was against newly relegated Chippenham.
And Clevedon rallied at the death and will be heartened by three late tries to salvage some pride on Saturday.
The visitors compounded their problems when wing Chris Kates was sent to the sin-bin for killing possession yet at the end of the second half Harvey Russell, Chris Cates and Ryan Smith all crossed to give some hope for the visitors to take into the next fixture.
