And the zoo farm near Clevedon has big plans for its new season.

Visitors are invited to make Valentine's Day special by bringing their loved ones on a date to the zoo.

It's an ideal day out for animal lovers, made even better by the 'Woo at the zoo, two by two' voucher giving guests '2-for-1' entry on Thursday, February 14.

Families are also invited to join in the Valentine's Day fun, and get crafty making their own unique Valentines cards or testing their knowledge about the animal couple's at Noah's Ark zoo farm.

Staff at the zoo are also looking forward to the annual Noah's Easter egg hunt.

The Easter trail runs across the site and a chocolaty, sweet surprise awaits the lucky egg hunters.

There's also a novelty egg and spoon race for adults and children as well as the opportunity to get creative with some 'egg-citing' Easter crafts.

These fantastic family events are due to run over the Easter weekend on Saturday and Monday, March 30 and April 1.

Noah's Ark zoo farm is home to a number of endangered species and the zoo is hoping to highlight the plight and conservation issues surrounding some of its well loved residents by hosting an endangered species day on Saturday, May 18

Keepers and staff will be on hand to help visitors learn all about Bengal tigers and white rhinos as well as the Brazilian tapirs and lovely, baby tapir Tallulah.

It's also an opportunity to find out more about conservation in the wild of some of the zoo's collection of primates including the black and white ruffed lemur, ring-tailed lemur, cotton topped tamarins and siamang gibbons.

The zoo is currently building a new 20 acre elephant habitat to be completed this year.

Elephant Eden becomes the UKs largest elephant facility and is expected to open later this summer.

Noah's Ark attracts more than 135,000 visitors and was started in 1999 by farmer Anthony Bush and his artist wife Christina.

It now home to lions, giraffe, zebras, rhinos, tigers, gibbons, camels and 100 other types of animal.
