Rip off!!

My advice would be to shop around before trying the fonehouse. My partner went in to trade in his phone and was persuaded into taking out a contract. As I returned from shopping halfway through the process I wasn't entirely sure what the "deal" was but told my partner we should shop around. The salesperson laughed in my face and told me that this was the best deal and that I was obviously tight with my money. On returning home and realising quite how much we had been ripped off (the price of £25 didn't include VAT, something we were not aware of, and the same contract was available from vodafone for £20 a month inc VAT), we went back to the shop (no more than 15 mins later), and were told that our contract with orange had been cancelled and there was no cooling off period so basically we're stuck with it.

I hope this is a warning to all others to shop around before you buy. The staff we encountered at the shop were patronising and rude. Since experiencing this, I have been made aware of other people in Clevedon who feel they too were cheated by the fonehouse.

Great staff

The staff in this kind of place make all the difference and they're so nice here. They knew what they were talking about and advised me on the best phone for me to buy, not the best phone for them to sell. I will be going back next time I'm in need of a mobile, for sure. Thanks guys.

Not a normal phone shop

It was really nice to walk in and NOT be pounced on by the staff, like you get in normal phone shops. Very happy with the service, deal and the phone. Would recomend to anyone. Something Clevedon has needed for years.
